We respect your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how you can control it.
Who controls your data
Plrbyte (plrbyte.com) – support@plrbyte.com.
This policy is designed to align with major regimes (GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and India’s DPDP Act 2023) where applicable.
What we collect
You provide: name, email, billing details, company (optional), messages to support, and account preferences.
We collect automatically: IP address, device/browser info, pages viewed, timestamps, referral URLs, approximate location, and interaction events (for analytics/fraud/security).
From partners: payment confirmation (no full card data), affiliate attribution, and ad-platform conversion events.
Why we use data (legal bases)
- Perform a contract – create your account, process orders, deliver downloads, provide support.
- Legitimate interests – secure the Site, prevent fraud/abuse, improve features, measure performance, run basic analytics.
- Consent – non-essential cookies/trackers, newsletters, and remarketing.
- Legal obligations – tax/accounting and regulatory compliance.
Retention
- Orders, invoices, and tax records: 10 years (or longer if law requires).
- Account/contact data: while your account is active and a reasonable period after closure.
- Marketing data: until you unsubscribe or withdraw consent.
We delete or anonymize data once no longer needed.
Sharing
We share data with vendors who help us operate (hosting/CDN, analytics, email delivery, payment processors, helpdesk, anti-spam, affiliate tracking). They only use data to provide their service. We also share data where law requires or to protect rights/security.
Cookies & trackers
We use essential cookies for login and checkout. With consent, we use performance and marketing tags, including (subject to change):
- Google Tag Manager / Analytics
- Meta Pixel (Facebook/Instagram)
- TikTok Pixel
- reCAPTCHA (spam/bot protection)
You can manage cookies via our banner, your browser settings, or device-level ad settings. Disabling non-essential cookies won’t block purchases but may reduce personalization.
Your rights
Depending on your region, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, restrict, or object to processing—and to withdraw consent at any time.
- EU/UK: GDPR/UK-GDPR rights apply.
- California: access, delete, correct, opt-out of “sale”/“sharing” of personal information. We don’t sell personal information in the traditional sense; where ad platforms might qualify as “sharing,” you can opt out via our cookie settings.
- India (DPDP 2023): rights to access, correction, erasure, grievance redressal, and consent withdrawal.
Exercise rights by emailing support@plrbyte.com. We’ll respond within statutory timelines (usually 30 days).
Security
We use industry-standard security (encryption in transit, access controls, least-privilege, logging). No system is perfect—please keep your password unique and secure.
Children
Plrbyte is for users 18+. We don’t knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a minor has provided data, contact us and we’ll remove it.
International transfers
We may process data on servers outside your country. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (e.g., SCCs) with our processors.
Changes
We’ll update this policy as needed and post the date at the top. Material changes will be highlighted in-product or by email where appropriate.
